At 5 am on Tuesday my wife and I woke up and drove to Skyline Drive Virginia with the intention of taking sunrise pictures as the sun rose over the shenendoah valley and piedmont. We took quite a few pics and drove 30 miles of the road stopping at many of the overlooks. On the way back we were stopped by a black bear standing in the middle of the road. At first it just stood there then it went to the edge of the road and two cubs came running out and they crossed the road together kind of like a crossing guard. Then we went to Luray Caverns which is beautiful but a little too commercial for my tastes. You pay 24 dollars per adult and that gets you an hour tour underground with a large group of roughly 30 people. You don't have much time to hang out because you are supposed to stay together. There are also a lot of children and babies crying but all and all my wife enjoyed it and thats what mattered.
Finally, at 6 pm I went to a free jiu jitsu class at Maguilla jiu jitsu in Wheaton/Silver Spring, Maryland. He's a black belt under ghe late Carlson Gracie and I really enjoyed the class. They let me get right into rolling and the other students who knew more than me were very helpful showing me different techniques and not abusing me like they were probably capable of lol. They went for moves slowly so that I was able to adjust or tap if it was uncomfortable. Definitely was a great time. My body still hurts two days later. Check out these links to each of the places I went:
